Session 35 (2,000 xp)

Heroes: Sigurd, Vladimir, Malik, Rowena

Year 644 MR (2nd quarter)

Rowena delivers the sielshegh gem she aquired from Malik to Sigurd, and the young king notices that the stone perfectly matches one of the empty sockets of his Iron Crown. When the gem is set, he also receives a vision of an underground tower below the city of Hollingholmen in Stjorvik; a mystical green light emanates from the tower.

Rowena asks Trevan to look into the matter, and the wizard discovers that a cabal of ancient wizards was said to have been located in the same general area. But the king has no mind to go on a quest, as he begins the construction of new roads in his kingdom, and sends diplomatic expeditions to Stjordvik to forge an alliance.

Malik attends to a new meeting of the Enlightened, where he aquires new information about the situation in the Empire of Anuire. Dhoesone is lost: the Empire's armies have clashed against the elves, and lost. Rumores spread of a possible alliance between Luabraight and Tuarhievel.

A zealous duke has attacked the Khinasi border, destroying a chuch of Avani. Aryia, having risen to prominence, has united several Khinasi lands, and plans to invade the Empire.

The patriarch confirms his willingness to depose the Emperor, and put the Emperor's brother on the iron Throne, but things would be easier if a certain document that was stolen from Thalion's home was to be found.

Hearing this, Malik makes his presence known, and reveals to know where the document is, but he will only reveal its location if he speaks with Lord Thalion in person. The lords of the Enlightened are not amused, but their threats do not shake Malik's resolve.

Year 644 MR (3rd quarter)

During the yearly Jarls' meeting, Sigurd appoints Storm (brother of his wife) as Jarl of Vjethelma. He also receives a visit from Daegandal, the elven prince of Lluabraight. The prince asks the king permission to pass through the Giantdowns with an army of 2,000 elves, on their way to Tuarhievel to help their brothers against the Empire. Sigurd agrees, asking nothing in return, and greatly improving the relations with the elves. Alas, his jarls do not see kindly to an army of elves passing through their lands, and hard words are exchanged between jarls and king.

Having heard no more news of Daeric, the assassin he spared a few months back, Malik decides to take matters in his hands, and tries to assassinate Jarl Fardolf of Stjordvik; the attempt fails, but Malik's involvement remains secret.
