Maedhros "Rhys" (636 MR)

Scourge Aasimar* Sorcerer (Draconic)**
Far Traveller

Maedhros is the son of Queen Niobhe and Ashan, the guardian angel of the Alamie famly. The two had a relationship while Ashan was protecting Niobhe under the guise of Haeming the Skald.

Niobhe was led to believe that her son had died in childbirth, while Ashan returned with the infant child to the Heavenly Realm of Haelyn, for reasons unknown.

It is possible that Haelyn did not approve of Ashan's deep involvement with Niobhe, and thus punished him by recalling him to Heaven, and ordering him to bring his son with him.

There Maedhros lived first with his father, and then with his great-grandfather Thalion, when the nobleman was forced to hide in Healyn's Realm, following the events that preceded the rise to power of the Exalt-Emperor.

When Thalion returned to the mortal world, Maedhros felt the moment was right, and he left the Heavens to look for his mother and the rest of his family.

He currently travels under the name of Rhys, pretending to be an high elf. Those who have experience with celestial beings could possibly recognize him as an aasimar.

Quirks
I begin or end my day with small traditional rituals that are unfamiliar to those around me.
I have a strong code of honor that others don't comprehend.
I express affection or contempt in ways that are unfamiliar to others.

Ideals. I have much to learn from the kindly folk I meet along my way. What is beautiful points us beyond itself toward what is true.

Bonds. I have a family, but I have no idea where they are. One day, I hope to see them again.
I'm fascinated by the beauty and wonder of this new land.

Flaws. I pretend not to understand the local language in order to avoid interactions I would rather not have.
I am secretly convinced of the superiority of my own culture over that of this foreign land.

Siblings. Nathanael II, Regall, Siobhan (half brothers and sister from mother's side)

(**) refluffed to Phoenix heritage

Estel Alamie (641 MR)

Half-elf Wizard (Diviner)
Sage

Growing up and studying in the courts of different kingdoms has taught her that Truth is rarely single and that before getting an opinion about something it is always good to listen to different points of view about it. A life of studies has also taught her how to make improvements and to ask questions, starting from the assumption of ignorance. As an essay wrote: the unanswered questions are those that teach us the most, because they encourage us to learn how to think.

Ideals. Believes in knowledge: advancing knowledge and research allows the world to improve and individuals to gain power and understanding of the world.

Bonds. Two questions are at the heart of Estel's life research: how, why and where the Lluabraight elves have retired from the world: what happened to that half of her roots, and what really happened to Gavin, the man for whose killing his father had earned the title of national hero. This mystery has already marked the life of her father, and now it is up to her to seek answers, in history and in the present.

Flaws. Her interest in the world sometimes exceeds even the survival instinct, leading it to ignore the danger of a situation if it can learn something about creatures, magical arts or the history of the world.

Parents: Nathaniel Alamie (590-642 MR) former Duke of Alamie & Siobhan Siannodenel (12-??? MR), Princess of Lluabraight

Siblings: Niobhe Alamie (617 MR), Duchess of Alamie & Queen of Dhoesone.

House Alamie

During the Reunification Wars, Agelmore Avan and a group of Heroes forged an Empire out of a fragmented land.

The former Duke of Alamie did not bend the knee to the new Emperor, and he was executed, and his lands given to one of the brave companions, Thalion.

Alamie has strong ties of alliance with Tuornen. Together, they find themselves at odds with the Exalt-Emperor's politics. Even though they're the most powerful duchies of the Empire, they would rather avoid civil war.

The Knightly Order of the Phoenix protects the realm from external threats.

In those years, he met the mercenary captain Machteld. From their union, Tuarim was born. Machteld lost her life in the final battle against the White Witch. Not long after, Malik returned home to take care of his son.

Niobhe Alamie (617 MR)

Half-Elf Fighter (Eldritch Knight) / Mage (Enchantment)
Noble
Duchess of Alamie, Queen of Dhoesone

[Character Sheet]

Given life from the union of Nathanael Alamie and Siobhan Siannodenel, young Niobhe is a child of contrasts.

Heir to many a different way of life, backgrounds and even race, though truly part of none, she struggles with her heritage. Raised with the mixed lifestyles of her parents, though clearly not part of either, she holds to the culture of the land she grew up in the Kingdom of the Giantdowns. She spent her younger days at the court of 'uncle' Hrothwulf, in between the other wards.

In this time she met a young skald by the name of Haeming she fell in love with. In the end this relationship fell apart, in part through the intervention of her father, though she only found out about this later. It remains the only sore point between Niobhe and Nathanael.

After this she spent less and less time at court and more in the woods of Caer Cwnnar and Rhuiddar, wandering with the local clans and learning to live like them. She loves its Rjurik inhabitants dearly as they are the only ones who have accepted her fully. In these last years she saw less of her parents and spent more time visiting the hall of her uncle Daegandal in Rhuiddar.

After recently visiting the Anuirean lands her father came from she finally met her grandfather Thalion. Though she had heard many a wary word from King Hrothwulf and her father she was welcomed with open arms and immediately felt a bond to the old man. With the new Emperor edicts and subsequent arrest of Thalion, she left Anuire travelling back to her birth land. His parting words during the chaotic flight from the capital set themselves in her mind. "Go! And come back with an army."

It seems unlikely a surprised Thalion would otherwise have stated such a thing, yet he did. And Niobhe took it to heart, the same as Thalion's suggestions to Sigurd, son of Hrothwulf, to assault the Blood Skull Barony. Sigurd might be missing, yet she will take it upon herself to do so for him. And through that claim her birthright.

Lord Thalion Alamie (559 MR)

Anuirean

Coat of Arms: A Rising Red Phoenix on a Field of White.
House Words: Nothing is Written.

Thalion (also known as Michael) is the son of the awnshegh Medusa, or so he believed for most of his life. As legend has it, Medusa made a pact with the awnshegh Ruobhe Manslayer, and promised him her first son, in exchange for helping her conquer the realm of Tuornen.

The arch-mage Felonius, foreseeing this boy had the potential to re-unite the Empire of Aduria, retrieved the infant from Ruobhe's castle, and placed him with a family of farmers in nearby Alamie. He named the boy Connen. He then transferred his bloodline into Thalion (an orphan) and placed Thalion in the care of the old paladin Regall. In this way, he thought he could keep Connen safe (though he placed Thalion in great danger).

Eventually, Thalion learned the truth, and faced and killed the Medusa. He then gave his bloodline back to Connen, who decided to remain a farmer. Felonius, to make amends, donated his bloodline to Thalion.

He married a woman called Arwen Loshie (daughter of the mercenary Garrison), and they had two children, Michael and Nathanael.

Long life - Thanks to his bloodline, Thalion only ages one year every five, though an encounter with a ghost aged him unnaturally. In the year 670, he's more than a century old, but he looks in his early fifties.

Dawn of the Empire - Heir to the Duchy of Tuornen, Thalion fought to reclaim his seat of power, and even made an attempt at becoming the Emperor of a united Anuire. In the end he decided to support Agelmore's rise to the throne, and became one of his closest friends. He also settled the score with his (presumed) mother, the awnshegh Medusa.

Rise of the Wolf - Heavily involved in the politics of the Empire of Anuire, Thalion pushes Hrothwulf and his companions to unite the Giantdowns, and forges an alliance between the Empire and this new kingdom. He also introduced his son Michael to the White Lotus Guild, and to the secret organization known as the Enlightened.

Eternal Winter - He inspires Hrotwulf's son, Sigurd, to unite all the Rjuven kingdom in one Empire. With the death of Emperor Agelmore, he's imprisoned by the new emperor, Darien, accused of high treason. He's believed to have died while in captivity.

Against the Shadow - Thalion returns to Cerilia after a long period hiding in a far away and mysterious land. He travels with the scions of powerful bloodlines, and counsels Amani, the daughter of Queen Rowena of Jentilak, when she displays the birthmark of the house of Roele.

On the Anvil of Pain - In 675 MR, he travels to Lichtenstein to offer the Anuirean Empire's support to King Flynn.
