Heroes: Sigurd, Storm, Malik, Machteld, Niobhe
Year 652 (1st quarter)
When the Heroes return home, they fid out that the White Withc has taken advantage of their absence. Her unnatural winter has spread to the norther provinces of all the Taelshore realms, and Jentilak has lost many provinces to the icy grip of the evil faeries.
The Heroes begin to gather their allies, sending envoys to the other kingdoms. Sigurd impresses the dwarves of the Rocksplitter clan, when his crown summons the ancient spirits of the dwarven kings to show him their support.
Niobhe travels to Lluabraight, where she finds the elves on the run. Queen Llaedra has collected the mystical Stones of Arborea, and she's preparing a ritual to travel to the elven paradise of Arvandor with all her people. Her son, Daegandal, and a few noble houses have refused to leave Cerilia, and will lend their support to Niobhe.
Machteld officially re-names her domain the Realm of the Black Queen, and takes on new family colors. Storm calls for a Kingsmoot, to be held during the next season. Malik strengthen his position in Stjordvik.
Year 652 (2nd quarter)
At the Kingsmoot, the great lords of the Rjurik Highlands discuss their strategy for a possible counter-attack against the White Witch. Thanks to Sigurd's crow, they can now dispel the magical winter cursing their lands, giving them a chance to fight against the evil faeries.
When Sigurd shows the gathered kings his completed crown, many bow to this symbol of unity, and call for an official ceremony, to name Sigurd High King. Sigurd, apparently free of the influence of his magical sword Eternal Winter, accepts with reserves: he will hold the title, but as the kings of old, he will give it up if a more noble or worthy candidate of the blood of Reynir should arise. He will be a leader among equals.
