Heroes (lvl 7): Amani, Deet, Gunnar, Hassan, Regall, Ryel
672 MR - Autumn (month of Erntenir)
The Heroes find the hidden path at the base of the mountains, and begin their climb. An unnatural mist limits visibility. At the top of the path is a stone balcony, and an ancient door engraved with dwarven bas-reliefs. Guarding the door are four elves, servants of Rhuobhe. The Heroes ambush the elves and gain entrance.
Beyond the doors they find an abandoned dwarven outpost, the only inhabitants of the place are elven warriors garrisoned there by the Manslayer. The Heroes engage in combat with a few of their bands, eventually capturing one of them for interrogation.
From him they learn that the outpost leads to an ancient dwarven mine, now occupied by orogs. It looks like the elves and the orogs have an alliance, kept in place by the fear the orogs have for the Elf. Having learned what they can, the Heroes leave their prisoner outside of the iutpost, and bar the doors.
Behind the throne room of the dwarven halls, they find a vast cavern with a winch-operated elevator. After making it functional again, they begin their descent into the depths of the mountain.
