Session 28

Heroes (lvl 7): Amani, Deet, Gunnar, Hassan, Regall, Ryel 

672 MR - Autumn (month of Erntenir)

The Heroes rest for a night in Kal Antherak, having forged an uneasy alliance with the orogs now in charge. The day after ,the orogs escort them to the dark pit used by the elves to leave the cavern. At the bottom of the pit, the party finds a tunnel showings hints of elven architecture.

At the end of the tunnel they spot two elves beating an escaped half-elven slave. The Heroes save the half-elf, who goes by the name of Linras. From him they learn of a secret way through the wall of thorns that surrounds Ruannoch, Rhubhe's fortress.

With this information they're able to go through the magical wall, though not without suffering from the poisonous thorns it is made of. Before proceeding to the tower, Amani makes clear to the party that she needs Rhuobhe to be killed a magical dagger in her possession. This to avoid that Rhuobhe's blood taints the Heroes' bloodlines. 

The Heroes stealthily make their way to the outside walls of the blacksmith, and gain access to the tower through a chimney. Inside the smithy they find Screde Noctuln, a garrulous dwarf at the service of the Elf. The dwarf looks interested in learning the Heroes' motives, and he's not particularly loyal to Rhuobhe. While he does not raise any alarm, he's amused by the party's bravery (or is it foolishness?), and even shares some information on how to reach the higher levels of the tower.

Fully committed to their mission, the Heroes leave the smithy and enter the tower's courtyard.
