Vladimir has not seen much of the the Vos lands, since he was sent to the Giantdowns at a very early age, as a ward of King Hrotwulf. There he became like a brother for the king's son and daughter. He doesn't remember much of his father, though sometimes King Hrotwulf recounted to him the deeds of his mother.

He's a follower of the god of war, Kirken, his teachings passed onto him by the dwarven priest Orden Flinthead, an old adventuring companion of King Hrothwulf.
