Year 640 MR - Spring
The Heroes arrive at a hunting lodge, now occupied by the bandits that kidnapped Lady Argentea. The party assaults the lodge, defeat the bandits, and capture their leader, a priest of Eloele by the name of Rokhar. The scoundrel confesses his alliance with the winter-touched fey, and reveals that deeper into the forest the fey are guarding a portal that is the cause of the unnatural winter. In the basement of the lodge, the Heroes also find the captive Lady Argentea.
After a night of rest, the Heroes secure Rokhar in the basement, and leave Sir Riegon with Lady Argentea at the lodge, while they explore the forest further. Eventually, they arrive at a lonely hut surrounded by ice blocks. Reflected in the ice, they can see the shadow of a frightened little girl asking for help. Inside the hut, they find a doll, who quickly animates to try and kill them!
The heroes manage to destroy the doll, and proceed on the snowy trail. After a few more hours in the cold, they're ambushed by a ferocious giant weasel. They kill the beast, knowing very well that their troubles are not over yet.
