Heroes: Sigurd, Storm, Malik, Machteld

Year 653 MR (1st Quarter)

Armies clash in the frozen forests of Mandal, and up the hills leading to the city. As the Heroes lead their men to the walls against hordes of goblins and orogs, an avalance decimates both sides of the conflicts, the harbinger of Abominable Yetis bent on destruction. Only the mighty scions can face such a threat.

When they finally defeat the beasts, and conquer the ruined walls, the battlefield begins to rumble, then erupts in an explosion of dirt and snow, when mighty remorhazes burrow their way to the surface. But not even these fearsome creatures can stop the righteous fury of the Kings of the Highlands.

Inside the city, Heroes and Kings regroup for a short rest and to assess the situation, when suddenly a shower of boulders start to pellet the frozen buildings. The Heroes hurry to the center of the town, while their armies are crushed under the deadly stones. But the strongest and the bravest reach the main square, where the giant king Thrym and his honor guard challenge the Heroes. While their troops charge evil mephits and savage polar werebears, the Heroes bring the fight to the giants.

Severely proven, the Heroes defeat the giants, but their strength is at the limit. Yet the battle is not yet over, as the gates of the Cathedral of Ice loom before them.
