Sir Cain Abysmal gathers the scions of dead heroes to claim their Birthright. they avenge the death of their fathers, and they join the rebellion figthing against the Ogre, the awnshegh that is terroryzing Tuornen.

Among their allies they can count Agelmore Avan, heir of Avanil. He's a man with a dream... to forge a new Anuirean Empire! The heroes assist Agelmore and fight with him across Anuire, gaining lands and reputation. Only two enemies remain unconquered. 

To the East, the Baron of Ghoere has declared himself King, with the military power to defend his borders. To the North, the Gorgon remains a power not to be trifled with.

Agelmore is crowned Emperor, and the Heroes that fought with him are raised to the highest ranks of nobility. Among them are Ansen Tieghan II, Sasha Gunnarson, and Thalion Alamie.

With the Empire safe, the Heroes turn their gaze to the enemies that caused so much pain to their families: the mage Talerdigh, and the awnshegh Medusa. Ansen II and Sasha lose their life in the final battle to defeat these villains.
