671 MR - Winter (month of Faniele)
A traveller arrives at the Ice Castle of Havenwood. This is Ivar, a trapper from the frontier village of Brumendell. Ivar is looking for help. Several villagers have disappeared in the last weeks, and now jarl Elemine herself is nowhere to be found. Ivar fears something dark is going on in Brumendell.
The Heroes promptly respond to the call, and together with Ivar they make the one-week journey to Brumendell. On the way they're ambushed by a pair of fearsome yetis.
Once they arrive in the village, they immediately noticed the weird behavior of several villagers, chief among them an aversion to fire. The Heroes investigate the matter, eventually discovering a horrific creature made of crimson slime hiding in the cellar of the local tavern.
Looks like the creature has absorbed several of the villagers, and created copies of them from its own slimey substance. The Heroes fight and destroy the creature.
