Session 35

Heroes (lvl 8): Amani, Deet, Gunnar, Hassan, Regall, Ryel 

673 MR - Spring 

The PCs' army lays siege to Castle Nietier, the mountain fortress guarding the pass between Tuornen and Boeruine. High Mage Arlen Innis is in command of the defending forces. Arlen unleashes powerful Realm Magic at the Dragonguard, pelleting their ranks with coruscating columns of radiant energy. The PCs' advance forces are caught still on the mountain slopes by the mage's scouts, but the Dragonguard rapidly rallies around the Heroes and they advance to the walls of the fortress. 

The infantry assaults the gates, while the PCs lend their support to the walls, climbing dangerous ladders together with their men. A section of the wall is defended by heavy infantry extolling a high price in lives from the Dragonguard. The PCs take matters into their own hands, and succeed in breaking through at great personal costs. Wounded and battered, they claim the ramparts and look ahead at the tower where the High Mage is entrenched.
