The party engages in a fierce battle against the formidable Vos warriors, emerging victorious in the wilderness. Puzzled by how they were discovered, they ponder the intricacies of tracking in the wild.
Continuing their journey for several more weeks, they eventually arrive at the snow-covered ruins of Mandal. Even in the midst of summer, an unnatural blanket of snow shrouds the city, hinting at a lingering malevolence. Navigating the forsaken streets with caution, the party stealthily maneuvers to avoid the few monstrous remnants that still haunt the desolate city.
Suddenly faced with a perilous encounter, the party decides to ambush a group of ice trolls in the snowy expanse. Though successfully catching the trolls off guard, their actions attract the attention of an unexpected threat—a frost salamander. Despite the arduous struggle that depletes the party's resources, they emerge triumphant from the challenging confrontation.
However, the commotion proves to be a double-edged sword as it draws the attention of the undead denizens of Mandal. Slowly but relentlessly, they approach the party. In a desperate bid for safety, the adventurers identify the fortified remnants of the White Witch fortress on the horizon and make a frantic dash towards it, seeking refuge from the encroaching menace.
