Kira, the daughter of Drago, finds herself confined by the party. They secure her pledge not to attempt an escape, granting her permission to ride her tiger mount.
Upon reaching Polovtsiya, the capital of Zoloskaya, the party encounters a bustling city, protected by formidable walls and knights mounted on wyverns.
Within the city, they chance upon an Anuirean merchant dealing in magical components. Intrigued, Siobahn persuades him to present the party as highly skilled mercenaries to the regents.
Under the cloak of night, Siobhan and Ryel stealthily infiltrate the merchant's vessel, the Magic Missile, pilfering a trove of arcane tomes and scrolls.
The following day, the party is formally introduced to the Targov family. The monarchs, blessed with powerful divinatory abilities through their lineage, reveal that they had anticipated the party's arrival.
They disclose their intention to forge an alliance between their dynasty and the Belytigr through marriage, a plan facilitated by the party's unexpected arrival with Kira, Drago's daughter, fulfilling their needs perfectly.
