The heroes agree to divide their efforts, addressing two urgent threats: the Gorgon rising in the north and the recovery of the Suncrown in the southeast.
Gunnar, Amani, and Regall journey north to Dhoesone, where they are joined by Gunnar's brothers, Varri and Vladimir.
Gunnar sets his sights on assembling a Kingsmoot—a gathering of all the monarchs of the Moonlight Council. To aid him, Niobhe imparts her wisdom, offering insight into the temperaments and ambitions of each ruler, giving Gunnar a clearer path to securing their allegiance.
His first stop is Stjordvik, where he seeks the support of his uncle, King Storm. The old king welcomes Gunnar warmly and pledges his support. To solidify their alliance, he proposes a marriage between one of Gunnar’s brothers and one of his daughters. Vladimir steps forward, accepting the match without hesitation.
